INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
At 10:17 am on November 24, 2024, the Seattle Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1401 Broadway, in the parking garage of Capitol Hill’s QFC. A rubbish fire (likely fairly large) was found in the garage, partly extinguished by sprinkler. The fire did not extend to the businesses above the garage. SFD’s MVU 1 was dispatched to ventilate smoke from the garage. I didn’t see it this day, but here’s what it looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I2w8a4BPnM
The incident lasted two hours and eleven minutes.

MY NOTES
My first video of 2025 is… from 2024. I had this saved as a draft for a looong time but kept forgetting to sit down and write the description. My new year’s resolution (aside from more in-person catches) is to edit and post videos in a more timely manner so I don’t forget about them and fill my hard drive with too much traffic camera footage. I have quite a few videos from the new year to write descriptions for!

Smoky garage garbage fire clears Capitol Hill’s Harvard Market

WTCR seeks to highlight the everyday operations of first responders in several major Washington state cities, as seen from public traffic cameras. This channel focuses on their actions, responses, and of course their shiny trucks. WTCR is not monetized.

Thanks for watching! These descriptions sure take a long time to write…
