INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
At 5:05 pm on October 1, 2024, the Seattle Fire Department responded to a reported marine fire-on-shore at 2046 Westlake Avenue W, at a boat moorage dock on the west side of Lake Union. As with many vessel related incidents, specialty unit Marine 1 from Station 36 in West Seattle responded to the call. Engine 9, followed by Engine 8 were first due, and smoke was found from the bow of a boat. However, the fire was already out and the response was reduced to several units. The incident lasted forty minutes. The SFDLIVE incident page glitched out a bit so this incident’s page has disappeared.

MY NOTES
Actually got this video out fast! I was able to record the full response, except for the initial audio (which wouldn’t have had any video catches that early on). The camera quality is noticeably lower, which is because of the feeds being smaller with me recording so many cameras. I’ll consider other options in the future. Always great to see Marine 1, which is essentially a guaranteed catch on the West Seattle Bridge camera. Westlake once again proves to be the best location in Seattle in terms of traffic cameras.
A Bellevue fire response video is being edited and is nearly done, and will feature a couple Kirkland units, so stay tuned for that!

WTCR seeks to highlight the everyday operations of first responders in several major Washington state cities, as seen from public traffic cameras. This channel focuses on their actions, responses, and of course their shiny trucks. WTCR is not monetized.

Thanks for watching! These descriptions sure take a long time to write…
