INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
Just after midnight on August 21, 2024, an injury collision occurred just south of N 145th Street on Aurora Avenue N, on the Seattle side. Because of the incident’s location on the city borders of Seattle and Shoreline, it prompted a double response from both agencies. NORCOM 911 listed the incident as BLS “aid” while SFD”s Fire Alarm Center (FAC) listed it as ALS “medic.” Shoreline Fire Station 165, located less than a mile and a half away, was first on scene followed by Seattle Engine 24. The initial patient count was two with minor injuries, though three ambulances responded. Unlike Seattle, aid units in Shoreline do transport patients with minor to moderate injuries. Aid 165, Shoreline, transported one patient with moderate injuries to the Northwest branch of the University of Washington Medical Center. The number of patients transported by AMR is not confirmed, though most likely 1-2.

This is real audio from NORCOM Fire Tactical 2 and SFD Channel 4 from the incident. Audio is somewhat synced with video, though only from the Shoreline side. Unfortunately SFD Channel 2’s audio is missing from OpenMHZ.

Not enough description space for transcript 🙁

MY NOTES
The Seattle-Shoreline double isn’t super common but it does happen. I can count at least two other times since I’ve started following traffic cameras that it’s happened. You can see one instance here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I53_GI4ovXk
I haven’t edited the other but I have the footage, though I probably should put it out!
This is the best angle so far of Shoreline units I’ve seen so far.
School has started and I am very busy with schoolwork, so videos may slow down a bit. As usual though I have no shortage of videos to post, it’s just editing takes a very long time.

WTCR seeks to highlight the everyday operations of first responders in several major Washington state cities, as seen from public traffic cameras. This channel focuses on their actions, responses, and of course their shiny trucks. WTCR is not monetized.

Thanks for watching! These descriptions sure take a long time to write…
