On December 2nd 2021, I captured a large SFD response in Seattle’s Crown Hill neighborhood. Engine 35 was dispatched after a caller reported hearing smoke alarms going off, and seeing smoke coming from a pipe on the side of a town house. They also reported that no one was answering the door. Upon arrival, Engine 35 observed smoke through the windows and requested a full response.

I recorded E35’s crew making their initial entry – a large amount of smoke could be seen when they opened the door. I then moved east about a block so I could record the incoming units.

The fire was quickly knocked down, and the call was reduced to just a handful of units. Based on scanner traffic, this was a kitchen fire that spread from the stove. Thanks to the observant neighbor/passerby calling it in, the fire was contained to just the kitchen area.

Lots of great airhorn in this video – Ladder 8 gave a nice blast to the Tesla that cut them off and then blocked them from being able to finish their turn (1:25). It was also amazing getting units coming from every direction, starting at 0:59.
