On 8/8/2021 at approximately 5:00 in the afternoon Seattle Fire crews were called to the 5200 Block of 40th Avenue W for reports of a 46 year old women who had reportedly fell of of her paddle board and failed to resurface. Crews sent in rescue swimmers and divers to search for the women, but without success and after a hour of searching the scene was turned over to the Seattle Police Department as a recovery operation.
