A few times a year, Seattle Fire conducts live burn training so that their recruits can practice fire fighting techniques in a realistic but controlled scenario. Much of the interior is removed before the burn, including carpet and other synthetic materials, and a lot of the flames are from wooden pallets stacked inside.
This is the third time I’ve seen them doing live burn training, but the first time I’ve gotten to see flames. I also got a good look at Air 260, and finally got to meet longtime viewer Pete Williams IV!
