Here’s one for the fire engine fans – footage of all 32 Seattle fire engines responding to different calls.

Most of these clips are new, but a handful are from older videos. I tried to get shots of the engines responding toward the camera, but that wasn’t always possible.

Seattle’s engine are a mix of Pierces and E-Ones, with some American LaFrance still in service as training or reserve rigs. All the engines purchased in the past few years have been Pierce Enforcers.

The numbering system is a little weird.

According to the Seattle Fire wiki (https://fire.fandom.com/wiki/Seattle_Fire_Department), Engines 1, 3 and 4 are fireboats. Engine 1 is Fireboat 1, which makes sense, but Engine 2 is a regular engine, not Fireboat 2. Engine 3 is the Chief Seattle, and Engine 4 is both the Leschi, and the pickup truck that fireboat crews use to move between the fireboat stations.

I’m not sure why engines 7, 12, 14, 15, 19, and 23 are skipped.
