On December 28th, 2020, I captured a large Seattle Fire response to a fire burning in a strip mall in the north Seattle neighborhood of Lake City.

Several people broke into one of the businesses and then set it on fire. Seattle fire units arrived quickly and the response was upgraded to a 2-alarm fire less than 10 minutes after their arrival, bringing a total of 84 firefighters to the scene.

The fire was fought defensively (from the exterior) due to the collapse risk, and all seven businesses inside the strip mall were destroyed. There were no injuries. I’ve located GoFundMe’s for 4 of the business – I’ll update the list if I find more:
