A 3-alarm brush fire on the shoulder of I-5 in South Beacon Hill created heavy smoke and flames that spread to nearby homes and injured two people.
The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) says it received a call at around 3:53 p.m. on Sunday.
More than 120 firefighters and support personnel responded to put out the fire and help residents evacuate.
Crews also went to the location where the fire started, which was downhill near I-5.
Firefighters blocked two lanes on Interstate 5 northbound to contain the fire there.
Two people, a man and a woman, were treated at the scene before being taken to Harborview Medical Center.
