Seattle, WA (September 7, 2025) – A 66-year-old man lost his life early Saturday after a driver struck him in a hit-and-run near Highway 99.
According to the Seattle Department of Transportation, the horrific incident happened just before 4 a.m. on the SR-99 off-ramp to Spokane Street.
Officials say that they received reports of an object on the ramp. When crews arrived, they found the victim unresponsive and called police and fire medics.
Officers arrived and discovered the man had suffered a severe head injury. Seattle Fire Department medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
