INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
At 6:04 am on August 16, 2025, the Seattle Fire Department responded to a reported fire-in-building at 223 Yesler Way, an 11-story low income apartment building. The Frye Apartments are no stranger to SFD, with over 4,000 responses since 2003. The apartment’s last full response was in October 2023. I’ve uploaded footage of a July 2023 full response here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWhNWCmL0HI
In the August 2025 incident, crews were dispatched to a laundry room fire in the basement of the building. On arrival, nothing was visible and the fire alarm had not been activated. The fire was found to be already out and ther response was reduced to a few units.

WTCR seeks to highlight the everyday operations of first responders in several major Washington state cities, as seen from public traffic cameras. This channel focuses on their actions, responses, and of course their shiny trucks. WTCR is not monetized.
Thanks for watching! These descriptions sure take a long time to write…
