The parent who allegedly assaulted the two teenage referees at a youth hockey game in Seattle is facing two counts of assault. According to reports, the parent claimed his son was being kicked and punched during a physical altercation between the two teams, but police investigations refuted this claim.

Fortunately, the two referees, aged 13 and 14, are recovering from their injuries. They were treated by Seattle Fire Department medics, with one reporting pain in his right hip and rear neck, and the other suffering an injury to his right elbow.

In a heartwarming gesture, the Seattle Kraken have invited the two young referees and their families to a future game, where they’ll be honored for their bravery and dedication to the sport.
