INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
At 8:06 pm on October 8, 2024, Engine 6 of the Seattle Fire Department was dispatched to a rubbish fire at 405 M.L.K. Jr. Way S. This happens to be the address of Fire Station 6. The crew took a look around and quickly found the small fire that had been intentionally set, likely by a mentally ill person. Camera archives from SafetyVid.org showed the person, who stayed at the scene, setting the fire on the sidewalk. The fire was stamped out by a firefighter and finished off with a small station hose. The arsonist appeared to stay at the scene, and whether he was arrested or not is unknown.
Battalion 5 and Marshal 5 also responded, though I didn’t see the video archive. Freezes/cuts forward are glitches in the archiving site.

MY NOTES
Certainly a strange one, but not the only incident that has happened at Station 6. A while ago there was a fairly big crash at the intersection. I have footage of that but need to post it eventually.

WTCR seeks to highlight the everyday operations of first responders in several major Washington state cities, as seen from public traffic cameras. This channel focuses on their actions, responses, and of course their shiny trucks. WTCR is not monetized.

Thanks for watching! These descriptions sure take a long time to write…
