Washington State Patrol has confirmed at least six people were injured in six separate shootings on Interstate 5 in King and Pierce counties on Monday night. One person is in custody.

The shooting spree left three people hospitalized, including a woman who was critically injured. Two of the six injured people were in the same vehicle, officials said. Witnesses at four different scenes described the same suspect vehicle: a white Volvo with California plates.

The first incident occurred on northbound I-5 at 320th, where a passenger was injured, according to a post by WSP on X at 9:27 p.m.

Fifteen minutes later, WSP received another call regarding a shooting on northbound I-5 at MLK. No victims were harmed in this incident, but a vehicle sustained damage. There is no suspect vehicle description available for this shooting.
