A fire at a building under construction in Seattle’s Mount Baker neighborhood created a large plume of smoke early Friday morning above Lake Washington. The Seattle Fire Department first posted that crews were responding to a building in the area of the 4000 block of 43rd Avenue South.

The fire eventually was upgraded to a three-alarm response as it spread to nearby buildings.
