Two people are dead after a motorcycle crashed into a Seattle Fire Department truck in Queen Anne Monday morning.
The fatal crash occurred at 3:16 a.m., and the Seattle Police Department said traffic on the 1000 block of Queen Anne Avenue North was closed going all directions for a few hours.
According to police, the motorcycle was speeding eastbound on Prospect Street and ran a stop sign before it crashed into the SFD ladder truck, which was responding to a fire-alarm call and had its lights on. The motorcycle driver died at the scene, and the passenger was pronounced dead later at Harborview Medical Center, police said. The motorcycle driver was a man approximately 50 years old, and the passenger was a man around 26, the SFD said.
