On February 19th 2022, I filmed Seattle Fire’s Vault Response Team responding to a report of smoke from a manhole cover at the Shilshole Marina.

I also filmed Air 10 arriving on scene (without lights), and a City Light truck pulled up just as I was leaving.

The Vault Response Team is a group of specially trained fire fighters who deal with electrical fires in underground or confined electrical vaults. The team consists of a Power and C02 Truck (P25), Engine 25, Ladder 10 and Aid 25. They also partner with units from Seattle City Light.

Aid 25 was using their new rig – it looks to be the same model as the new medic units that were delivered last year.

Here’s a cool video showing a demo of using C02 to extinguish a fire **skip to 8:08** http://seattlechannel.org/videos?videoid=x92833
