I had been waiting at fire station 10, only a few blocks away from the scene of the accident, when the crash was called in, and the Seattle Fire Department responded. Units were called to the ‘King Noodle’ restaurant on King Street opposite Hing Hay Park. The initial response included Engine 10, Ladder 1, Engine 5, Battalion 2, Battalion 5, Medic 10, Medic Supervisor 44, Rescue 1, Ladder 7, Safety 2, Aid 10, Aid 5, Aid 14, as well as several AMR ambulances and the Seattle Police Department. SPD responded in force as the cause of the incident was unclear, with some witnesses describing a speeding car that may have tried to go into the alleyway next to the restaurant, but lost control. It is unclear how many people were injured.
