On January 8th, 2021, I captured footage of Seattle police and fire units responding to an SUV vs truck collision with one person trapped inside the SUV.

Initial reports indicate that the SUV was traveling south in the northbound lanes when it struck a Seattle City Light truck. The SUV driver was extricated and transported in stable condition. There were two other minor injuries.

0:00 – Radio traffic from the initial SPD unit on scene
0:16 – Engine 13 arrives on scene, followed by several more SFD units
1:38 – One of the new medic units is seen arriving – either M10 or M28
3:10 – Sped up footage of SFD members removing the SUV’s roof
3:48 – Rescue 1, R1A and Aid 14 arrive; shortly afterward, the roof is removed
6:06 – SPD’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement unit is seen arriving
6:35 – Patient extricated (not seen)
7:26 – A look at the wrecked SUV after SFD units clear the scene
