I had a fantastic afternoon at Seattle Fire’s Station 18, with three responses, a code-red transport and a wave from the chief over the course of an hour.
Station 18 is located in the north Seattle neighborhood of Ballard. It houses Battalion 4, Medic 18, Engine 18, Ladder 8 and Hose 18. It also houses a spare battalion SUV and a spare ladder truck (seen parked beside Ladder 8 in this video).
In addition to the Station 18 responses, I included some footage of the old Station 18, located just a few blocks away. For many years there was a restaurant inside the old station, and you could see where the fire poles came out of the ceiling. The restaurant closed this year, and I haven’t heard what, if anything, will take its place.
Clip listing:

0:11 – Engine 18 responding
1:03 – A look at the old / historic Station 18
1:29 – Ladder 8 responding. You can see the spare/reserve ladder parked next to L8
2:08 – Medic 18 responding
3:04 – Battalion 4 leaving the station (non response) – thanks for the wave!

And yes, I made it back to my car without getting a ticket ?. Filmed 10/30/2020.
