It took me three tries, but I finally got good footage of Seattle Fire’s Air 240 responding!

I filmed this on Saturday, August 29th. There was a large response in the south end, and Air 10 was apparently out of service. Usually, Air 260 would fill as they were much closer to the incident, but Engine 26 (which staffs Air 260) was assigned to the call, so Air 240 got the run instead.

Engine 35 passed me responding back to Station 35 as I was running there, but I didn’t stop to get video since I wanted to make sure I got to a good filming spot before Air 240 came out. They ended up being cancelled less than 10 minutes after I filmed this, so it was lucky timing.

Air 240 is a 2007 Spartan Gladiator Classic LFD / Hackney. It carries spare air bottles, and has a large compressor and cascade system for filling empty bottles.
