Take a walk around Prince William County’s Arrow XT Pumper with Battalion Chief Jason Reese. This rig is designed with frontal impact and side roll protection for safety and a short wheelbase to help with the turning radius. The Arrow XT cab is universal for the department across all apparatus including EMS compartments to store all gear.

Inside the driver operator compartment, a dry erase board was added to door to allow for pump and math calculations while on call. To be ergonomically safe, the hose bed on the rear was lowered as much as possible to reduce back injuries and to give easy access to the compartments on top. Pre-connected hand lines are accessible on either side of the rig for an easy attack.
