A news helicopter crashed near the Space Needle tower in downtown Seattle on Tuesday, killing two people on board and setting cars on fire as it burst into flames. The helicopter fell to the street during an attempt to take off from a helipad atop a TV news station near the Space Needle, Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore told reporters.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.
