10/28/2015. Visible fire from the roof starting at 4:13. This was a residential single alarm fire. The house sustained severe damage, and is no longer occupied. I still have not been informed as to the cause of the fire, but I do know it started in the basement, and then subsequently spread to sections of all three floors, via the house’s chimney. No one was injured, and the occupants got out of the house. There was a strong odor of electrical smoke for at least a two block radius, obviously leading me to believe it was an electrical fire of some sort.

List of dispatched units: E38, E17, E16, E40, E9, L9, L10, B4, B5, AIR9, A2, M16, DEP1, SAFT2, STAF10, REHAB1 and CHAP3.

The fire was initially dispatched as a 4RED 2+1+1 (two engines, 1 ladder, 1 battalion) which is generally a smaller fire in a structure.
The units first assigned to the 2+1+1 were E38, E17, L9 and B4. Engine 38 requested a “full response” (SFD equivalent phrase of box alarm or single alarm) immediately upon arriving and observing smoke surrounding the residence.

APOLOGIES FOR THE ANNOYING STUPID PORTRAIT MODE! The phone I filmed this on over 2 years ago was malfunctioning and I couldn’t switch to landscape mode.
