On November 10th, 2018, Seattle Fire units responded to a massive warehouse fire in Queen Anne (North Seattle). The 4-alarm fire burned 3 buildings and 2 sheds, but thankfully there were no injuries. The cause is currently under investigation.

Video highlights:
0:23 – Fire footage from the Ballard Bridge
0:41- Ladder 5
2:10 – Air 260 and Air 26
3:10 – Engine 40 and Ladder 12
3:38 – Engine 13 and Hose 18

The SFD Real-Time Dispatch site was down yesterday evening, so when I started hearing sirens I pulled up my scanner app, and immediately heard Engine 18 tell dispatch that they had a working fire, visible from the Ballard Bridge. I grabbed my camera and ran the half-mile or so to the bridge. I walked all the way to the far side of the bridge, then started walking back to Ballard where I caught E24, E40 and L12 arriving as part of the 4th alarm.

The main highways are on the opposite side of the fire from me, so I didn’t catch most of the units that responded, but I’m happy with the ones I got.

I was back home uploading the videos from my camera and listening to the scanner when I heard them dispatch Hose18, so I went out once more into the cold, cold night.
