Seattle Fire Department Aid 5 on an Aid response on 12/13/2008. Call is to 517 3rd Avenue South. Aid 5 is quartered in Station 10 with Engine 10, Ladder 1, Staff 10, and the HazMat unit. This is the new Station 10 which opened earlier in 2008. It is a few blocks away from the original Station 10. Station 10 is one of three fire stations in downtown Seattle (Station 2 and Station 5 are the other two). Aid 5 went on 4,937 calls during 2007, making it, Aid 2, and Aid 25 the three busiest companies in the Seattle Fire Department. Aid units provide BLS aid, while Medic units provide ALS aid. Dispatch is heard through my trunking scanner.
