At age 58, Battalion Chief David Jacobs, a 26 year veteran of the Seattle Fire Department lost his battle with duty-related esophageal cancer on November 8, 2009 with family and friends at his side. David is survived by his wife Janna, thirteen adult children, and twenty grandchildren.
